About Dr. Aasim Padela:
Dr. Aasim Padela is a visiting faculty member at TISA and an internationally recognized thought and research leader in the fields of Muslim health disparities and Islamic Bioethics. As a scholar and thought-leader, he has authored over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and books on Islam, biomedicine, and ethics. He has also delivered dozens of keynote lectures and seminars worldwide and has consulted with religious and health authorities on topics related to policy and ethics.
About Imam Abdul Rahman Bashir:
Imam Abdul Rahman Bashir (Imam ARB) studied at Jamiatul Uloomil Islamiyah in Karachi before completing eight years of Islamic theology and jurisprudence at the Institute of Islamic Education in Dewsbury, graduating valedictorian in 2000. He served as religious director of the Jefferson Muslim Association in New Orleans (2001–2006; 2011–2016), engaging in interfaith work and law-enforcement outreach. Now based in Allen, Texas, he is the Imam of the Islamic Association of Allen. Fluent in English, Urdu, and classical Arabic, he is the father of three boys—Bilal, Jamal, and Kamal—and an instructor at Taqwa Seminary.
About Abdullah al Mamun:
Abdullah al Mamun is Chief Strategy Officer at TISA, leading advancement, growth, and long-term sustainability for its graduate programs in Islamic Studies and Chaplaincy. He holds a BA in Middle Eastern Studies & Business from Fordham, completed graduate studies in Graphic Communication Management at NYU, and is pursuing a doctorate in Humanitarian Leadership with the Zakat Foundation Institute, focusing on sustainability through zakat and ṣadaqah models.
